Reviews - Sony CMD X2000
Here's my experience with the Sony CMD X2000. A bit heavy (185g) for a small (147.5x46x26mm)
phone like this. Battery (Lithium Ion) is excellent. I charge it at work
and it keeps me going throughout the whole weekend at home without letting
me down. Audio quality is very good. A lot better
than Philips FIZZ and Ericsson 337. Jog-dial is very easy to use. It needs some
getting used to though because it's easy to `overshoot' choices. Also,
while pressing the jog-dial to select a choice, one may move to another
choice because of not accurately pressing. After a while this turns out
to be OK though. The length of the phone (147.5) makes it
hard to keep in a small pocket. Modem availability is a disaster. None of
the multi-purpose PCMCIA modems support the CM-DX2000. If I'd known this,
I might have gone for a Siemens S10 or so. For the rest: Great equipment.
