Mobile phone etiquette is constantly on the increase with more and more
people taking notice of not using their mobile phones in restricted places.
Not everyone takes notice - an army officer has recently been sentenced
to 70 lashed by a Saudi Court for using his mobile phone on a domestic flight.
The court ruled that he had put passengers at risk by using his mobile during
take-off and after members of the crew had told him to switch it off.
Al-Eqtisadiyah newspaper said the man was escorted by airport security from
the plane and it was the kingdom's first sentence against users of mobile
phones on aeroplanes.
